This fall, consumers can support arts education programs nationwide in K-12 public schools as they enjoy KRIS, one of America's most popular Italian wines. KRIS and Americans for the Arts, the nation's leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts and arts education, are partnering again for the sixth annual “Art of Education” program. KRIS will award 16 schools in the United States a total of $25,000 in grants to improve academic achievement through quality arts education. This year’s campaign runs from now to October 31, 2015.

Americans for the Arts, the nation’s leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts and arts education, and the National Lieutenant Governors Association (NLGA) will present South Dakota Lt. Governor Matt Michels with the Public Leadership in the Arts Award for State Arts Leadership, which honors a public official who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in the advancement of the arts at the state level. Michels will receive his award today at the NLGA’s Annual Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Americans for the Arts, the nation’s leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts and arts education, honors 31 outstanding public arts projects created in 2014 through the Public Art Network (PAN) Year in Review program, the only national program that specifically recognizes the most compelling public art. The works were chosen from more than 300 entries across the country and recognized today at the 2015 Annual Convention in Chicago.

Americans for the Arts, the nation’s leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts and arts education, today announced the BCA Hall of Fame Award and BCA Leadership Award honorees for 2015. Duke Energy, the largest electric power holding company in the United States, will receive the BCA Hall of Fame Award. Jorge M. Pérez, Chairman of The Related Group, will receive the BCA Leadership Award.

The distinguished summer program places 12 students at host arts organizations throughout New York City.

Americans for the Arts, the leading organization for advancing the arts and arts education in America, announced today that it is presenting the 2015 American Express Emerging Leaders Award to Lara Davis, Arts Education Manager for the City of Seattle’s Office of Arts and Culture. Given annually since 2006 and sponsored by American Express since 2011, the award recognizes an exceptional new and/or young arts professional for their exemplary leadership, deep engagement with community, and strong commitment to advancing the arts.  Award recipients are selected by a panel of outside experts.
