  • In 2012, the Center for American Progress determined that turnover typically costs an employer more than 20 percent of an employee’s salary. (For highly paid jobs, the report found those turnover costs can skyrocket up to 213 percent!)
  • In 2014, a survey by ManpowerGroup showed that 40 percent of U.S. employers have difficulty finding jobs. 56 percent of U.S. employers believe that a talent shortage has a medium-to-high impact on their ability to meet client needs.

Speaking from Experience

“At NV Energy we believe the arts are essential to the quality of life for all Nevadans wherever they live. The arts build vibrant communities—whether large or small, urban, or rural. Not only are the arts good for communities, they are good for business and are critical to economic diversification, tourism, and educational reform strategies. While this award is an honor, the recognition is really a reflection on the thriving arts organizations working so hard every day to create art opportunities for all of us to enjoy.”

 - Paul Caudill, NV Energy president and CEO and chairman of the NV Energy Foundation.

Americans for the Arts is proud to include NV Energy and the NV Energy Foundation among this year’s BCA 10: Best Businesses Partnering with the Arts in America honorees!
