Public art installation created at Alcatraz features sculpture, sound, and mixed-media, turning the iconic prison into a space for dialogue about freedom of expression and human rights for more than 500,000 visitors to date.

Chinese artist Ai Weiwei work @Large was recognized by Americans for the Arts Public Art Network (PAN) Year in Review which annually recognizes outstanding public art projects that represent the most compelling work for the year from across the country.
