Gigi was born in South Korea and raised in Irvine, California. Instilled with a deep appreciation for the arts from an early age, she studied theatre performance during her undergraduate at NYU. She worked in the theatre production business in South Korea until transitioning to education for her graduate studies. While working towards her first masters in education, she served as a volunteer drama teacher in Nairobi, Kenya, and realized the restorative power of the arts. She obtained her second masters in Arts in Education at Harvard in 2020 before moving to Washington D.C. with her husband, dog, and cat.

Gigi is committed to increasing the access to the arts and passionate about brining healing to communities through the development of arts and education.
