On Tuesday, February 10, Americans for the Arts' CEO, Bob Lynch, served as a panelist for the Business-Community Impact Symposium, hosted by The Conference Board - a partner of Americans for the Arts. The symposium explored how businesses can make measurable positive social impacts, bringing together leaders in corporate philanthropy and Corporate Social Responsibility across industries. Executives from the Contributions Council as well as the Global Social Investing councils gave insights for tackling key issues, one of which included creativity as a tool for solving social issues.

The recent Contributions Council II meeting looked at how innovative leaders and thinkers are utilizing arts and culture to promote out-of-the-box thinking for business. At the symposium, Bob Lynch, along with Anthony Tapia from The Conference Board and Lisa Garcia Quiroz from the Time Warner Foundation, reported on the issues discussed. Americans for the Arts' board member, Tim McClimon, was also in attendance to discuss the global trends impacting Corporate Social Responsibility this year.
