Genesis Motor America announced they are awarding $350,000 to arts education programs in New York through their Genesis Motor America Foundation. $250,000 will be going to BRIC, the leading presenter of free cultural programming in Brooklyn and one of the largest in New York. This two-year grant will allow BRIC to expand its music and arts program to provide access to free arts education to over 4,500 youth in the Brooklyn area and neighboring communities. The official check presentation took place during the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival on Saturday, June 15 at the Prospect Park Bandshell.

The additional $100,000 is being awarded to ProjectArt to expand its innovative arts training program in the New York area, in partnership with local area libraries, community artists, and children. Further, this two-year grant from the Genesis Motor America Foundation will help the ProjectArt program provide hundreds of Brooklyn area students access to free art classes. The official check presentation to ProjectArt took place on Friday, June 14 at the historic Central Library.
