The Arts & Business Council of Miami recently partnered with the Miami International University of Art & Design on an innovative digital media project as a way to celebrate its 30th anniversary. The partnership included a project with the senior animation class to animate 30 years of successful arts and business partnerships. Completed over an eleven week period, this project tasked the students with visually interpreting the mission of the Arts & Business Council of Miami and crafting a narrative around what it means for businesses to partner with the arts in Miami.

“This was an exciting opportunity for the Arts & Business Council to showcase 30 years of powering the creative ecosystem in Miami by growing an inspired network of business professionals and companies. Savvy local business and entrepreneurs realize if they don’t take steps towards being innovative and creative then they fall behind. One of the key messages that echoes within each animation was that the arts are innovative and produce real economic development,” said CEO Laura Bruney.

The animations from the students will be featured in a week long digital takeover of the iconic landmark downtown Intercontinental Miami at the end of March, and they will be introduced at the Arts & Business Council of Miami’s Breakfast with the Arts & Hospitality Industry on March 31.

One of their favorite animations was The 8 Ways Business Supports the Arts project created by talented Miami International University of Art & Design student, Bernadette Lim.
