In an article for Toledo, Ohio's The Blade, Mark Folk, Executive Director of Arts Commission of Greater Toledo, talks about the value of the National Endowment for the Arts. He goes on to relate the economic impact the arts have on Ohio, stating, "According to a strategic plan put together by the arts commission and approved by City Council in 2015, the annual economic output of creative-oriented businesses in 27 counties in northwest Ohio was about $3.8 billion, up from $2.4 billion in a similar study in 2007."
