Research Shows Impact America's Nonprofit Arts and Culture Industry Has on America's Economy and Jobs

Americans for the Arts, the nation's leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts and arts education, will broadcast live the announcement of the results of Arts & Economic Prosperity IV™, the largest and most comprehensive study of its kind ever conducted.

Who: Michelle Boone, Commissioner, City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events; Darryl Byrd, Chief Executive Officer, SA2020; Randy Cohen, Vice President of Research and Policy at Americans for the Arts; Julie Muraco, Managing Partner, Praeditis Group LLC; and Michael Spring, Director Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs will present the findings.

What:  Arts & Economic Prosperity IV™ documents the economic impact nonprofit arts and culture organizations and their audiences have in America. It is based on data from 151,802 audience-intercept surveys and 9,721 nonprofit arts and culture organizations from 182 communities and regions, representing all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
