At a conference, a person sits at a table piled with swag listening to two standing people having a conversation. All three wear business casual attire and masks.

Changes are underway at Americans for the Arts and the membership program is no exception. Senior Membership Manager Mandi Lee and Membership and Marketing Coordinator Michael Chodos have initiated a membership program realignment by seeking feedback from current members. A survey was distributed to members in June 2022 and the results revealed a variety of needs in the membership population.

Twenty-four percent of respondents indicated the need for regional training or convenings, and 13 percent wanted more rural engagement. Other programmatic requests included resources for individual artists and student engagement. A full presentation on key findings is available for review.

The membership team plans to use this data, along with input from a membership coalition made up of Americans for the Arts staff, to create a new membership program that will launch in 2023. Stay tuned to our website and your inbox for more news from the membership team.
