On Wednesday, February 25, fifteen artists, entertainers and art patrons were celebrated at the eighth Texas Medal of Arts Awards, which celebrates Texans who promote the arts in regards to children's education, state economy, and Texas culture.

The Texas Art Awards Ceremony was emceed by FOX NFL anchors Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, and honored Jamie Foxx, Dan Rather, and thirteen other artists. Robert Lynch, Americans for the Arts' CEO and President, was in attendence and is pictured here with Jonathan Glus, is the head of Houston Arts Alliance; Jennifer Ransom Rice, Executive Director of the Texas Cultural Trust; and a Jesus Morales sculpture that was auctioned at the event.
