The Development and Functions of a Regional Arts Program
This report examines the prospects of developing a regional arts plan for Minnesota. Issues addressed by the report include:
- long-range goals for a state-wide system of regional arts programs and alternative methods for achieving these goals;
- definition of arts development programs on a regional and local level, and a suggested planning process for achieving such programs;
- the effectiveness of current regional programs and decentralized processes, including regional arts councils, discipline advisory panels and regional arts task forces;
- the implications of population and geography for funding and decision-making on a state-wide basis; and
- the relationship of the Board and its staff deployment to regional arts development and planning.
This report examines the prospects of developing a regional arts plan for Minnesota.
