This finding is a result of Arts and Economic Prosperity 5, a study conducted by Americans for the Arts in conjunction with local partner Ashville Area Arts Council. Buncombe County was one of 39 study regions in North Carolina. Statewide, nonprofit arts and culture is a $2.12 billion industry.
