Americans for the Arts today announced new and re-elected advisory council members for each of their four networks: Arts Education, Emerging Leaders, Private Sector, and Public Art Network. These individuals will advise Americans for the Arts’ staff on developing programs and services that will build a deeper connection to the field and the network membership.

In partnership with the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL), Americans for the Arts is pleased to present Virginia Speaker of the House Designee Eileen Filler-Corn (D-Fairfax County) with the Public Leadership in the Arts Award for State Arts Leadership. The award recognizes a state legislator who has consistently advocated for the advancement of pro-arts legislation, funding, and promotion in their region. The ceremony took place this afternoon at the NCSL Capitol Forum in Phoenix, Arizona.

Americans for the Arts and The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs will host the annual National Arts Marketing Project (NAMP) Conference at The InterContinental Miami Hotel in Miami, Florida, on November 15-18, 2019. The largest gathering of arts marketers in the country, the conference is a critical forum for arts marketers to discuss the newest and most important marketing tools, the rapidly shifting demographics and behaviors of consumers, as well as how arts and culture organizations can best remain relevant in a time of flux and uncertainty.

Americans for the Arts President and CEO Robert L. Lynch was named to the 2019 NPT Power & Influence Top 50, an annual list in its 22nd year highlighting the nonprofit sector’s top working executives for innovation and influence on the broader sector. This is the fifth year that Lynch has been recognized by the publication for his leadership for Americans for the Arts. He was previously recognized in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2018.
