It's election season here at Americans for the Arts! Nominate yourself or a colleague to become a member of one of our four Network Councils: Arts Education, Emerging Leaders, Private Sector, and Public Art Network.

Are you running a Emerging Leader Network? Interested in starting one? Join us for a series of virtual conversations with active or prospective network leads to share network building best practices and troubleshoot common issues. Designed to be a forum for support and information exchange, participants are encouraged to share stories, challenges, successes, and questions.

All change begins with a conversation, but just getting the minds to meet can be a tall order in our sunny yet sprawling city, so on October 14th, 2014 from 6pm - 8pm, Rising Arts Leaders will be presenting the annual event that aims to accomplish just that.

Creative Conversations: Rise to the Occasion, invites rising and established leaders from across the arts and culture spectrum to speak alongside industry veterans as we identify real solutions to some of the biggest obstacles faced here in San Diego.

Join Cincy Emerging Arts Leaders for a Creative Conversation: "Current & Future State of Arts Funding." Panelists from both public and private institutions will discuss how funding for the arts is fairing in a post-recession economy, and what does the future for arts funding look like?

Join Emerging Arts Leaders DC after the 2014 Nancy Hanks Lecture on Arts and Public Policy featuring Maureen Dowd for a cash reception at A BAR + Kitchen (conveniently located just a few blocks from the Kennedy Center).

Emerging leaders and advocates from across the country in town for Arts Advocacy Day are encouraged to join the DC network for this happy hour event, but please be sure to RSVP to save your space!

This class will discuss leadership theory and the unique challenges and opportunities for arts leaders. You will explore leadership practice and development principles to strengthen your leadership capacity and advance your career, staff, organization, and/or community.

This is the third and final webinar in a series of three short "Board Training Week" webinars held on concurrent days in one week. To register for the entire series please visit the series registration page.
